This class is designed for those who have mastered the basics of crochet. In this course we will focus on pattern reading skills for intermediate level patterns, learning the V-stitch, the popcorn stitch, the shell stitch, changing yarn colors, shaping through increasing and decreasing stitches, combining stitches to learn a variety of granny square patterns, as well as learning how to join granny squares. New crochet projects are introduced each week in class including a sock monkey hat, infinity scarf, crochet bag, sunburst granny square, etc.

Materials to bring to class the first day: 1 skein of Caron Simply Soft yarn (or other soft worsted weight yarn), 1 skein of Caron Simply Soft yarn to coordinate with previous yarn color, Size "I" crochet hook, tapestry needle, scissors, binder for handouts.
