Combining Yang style TaiChi and traditional Qigong, this “modern” form was created in 1979 by Lin Housheng. In 1991, the United Nations Development Program recommended the promotion of Shibashi worldwide, leading it to become one of the most popular forms of qigong in the world.
In this 8-week series, you will learn the 18 movements and how to embody and practice them properly in a flowing sequence that brings vitality to the body, reduces stress and creates a feeling of well-being.
Shibashi is a simple, body-friendly, meditative form of Qigong that helps promote the body's natural healing energy. Its benefits range from greater range of movement, helping with back pain, to better blood circulation improving hypertension and respiratory problems.
Prerequisite: Be a regular Qigong practitioner or have already taken the Qigong for beginners course.
