Join us for a fun exploration of our senses with Sonic Sound, Lights Color, Actions!, Optical Illusions, Harnessing Heat,  Magnetic Magic, and Watts Up.

HARNESSING HEAT Take on temperature! Shake up a storm and see how friction creates heat. Feel how hot and cold can change at a touch. Apply your red-hot knowledge on your very own Heat Sheet to take home to continue your exploration of temperature.

LIGHTS... COLOR... ACTION! Celebrate the science of color! Split your name in ink and reveal numbers with color filters. Create a rainbow using white light and observe the effects of diffraction lenses. Color the world with your very own Technicolor Blender to explore how light and color combine.

OPTICAL ILLUSIONS Can your eyes trick your brain? Discover how mirrors and their reflections can confuse your sight. Make popular illusions out of everyday materials. Put together a Periscope to see above and beyond as you turn a pair of mirrors into a tool.

SONIC SOUNDS Uncover the source of sound! Tap into sound wave transmission and fill your ears with vibrations. Create a story with sound effects and change the pitch of your voice. Use your Tone Tube to stretch out the noise-making fun!

SMELLY SCIENCE The science of scents is in the air! Children will learn about our sense of smell and put their noses to the test as they experiment with the chemistry of aromas. From human nasal passages to animal adaptations, from enticing aromas to stinky stenches, the nose knows!

WATTS-UP This is the moment to discover the world of static electricity! Kids see sparks fly from an electrostatic machine—the Van de Graaff generator. They learn the basic properties of an electric charge, and find ways to distinguish between static electricity and electrical current. They learn to generate static to test the movement of electrons on everyday objects.
